TikTok launches immersive music effects for their users to give them more ways to create creative content using audio and music in the app. According to WERSM, the effects will be launched within the next few weeks and they will be powered by music in real time from TikTok’s own music library, as well as visual movements and transitions that can go in step with any selected song from the music library.
TikTok explains “The new effects are powered by real-time and interactive music processing technologies. The result is visual movements and transitions that move synchronously to the beat of any song from TikTok’s sounds library”
Music Visualizer
Music Visualizer is the first effect to be available for all users of the platform, and can be found under the “music” tab in the app’s “creative effects”. The effect runs by real-time music, to then be able to animate a background image, however, you need to record yourself on a green background and then use a chroma to be able to replace it with the animated one.

Music Machine
An interactive music effect that will offer the creators to create real-time audio synthetic features through drum beats and other synthetic sounds,while a video is being recorded. The effect has an interactive set of tools that appear on the screen when you record.
Delayed Beats
The effect synchronizes a series of still images to the beat of any song from TikTok’s own music library. The effect recreates a “freeze-frame” effect that is already popular with users in the app and you can adjust the transitions to the beat of the song.
Text Beats
Allows you as a creator the option to add animated text transitions to your videos that are transitioned and synchronized with the song you have selected from TikTok’s music library. You can edit the lyrics as you want and then move the lyrics to the beat of your song.
Solid Beats
The effect adds a funky and visual effect to your video that can synchronized at any time from the song you selected from TikTok’s music library.
Mirror Beats
Mirror beats aligns display transitions with the beat of your chosen song from TikTok’s music library.
