Shopify is a third-party e-commerce platform that helps you build up your e-commerce whether you have a small or large business. You get help with your implementation of Shopify according to your business needs and make it possible to accept installments, shared payments, accept credit and debit cards with external card terminals and automate the store management process. The purpose is to increase your return and ultimately your business revenue.
Shopify is now expanding its payment options through Facebook and Instagram to simplify and streamline the buying process after increased pressure for social shopping. Consumers made 137 million conversions in total via Shopify’s payment option – Shop Pay in 2020. We will now see Shop Pay as one of the alternatives within Facebook, which means that your information is filled in automatically and shortens the entire process by 70% compared to before. This will result in a higher conversion rate and generate more conversions for your business.
“People are embracing social platforms not only for connection, but for commerce. Making Shop Pay available outside of Shopify for the first time means even more shoppers can use the fastest and best checkout on the Internet. And there’s more to come: we’ll continue to work with Facebook to bring a number of Shopify services and products to these platforms to make social selling so much better.” explains Carl Rivera, General Manager of Shop.
At first Shop Pay as a payment option in Facebook Pay will be launched in the USA, and enables more efficient purchases via Instagram. In a few weeks, they said in February 2021, Shopify will also be available in Facebook Pay.
